Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Shree Associates was awarded the task of constructing roads. Despite challenges in sourcing materials and working through tough conditions, our team labored from morning to evening. However, the project also faced difficulties, as workers were occasionally harassed under the influence of local miscreants.
Encouragement came from the Temple Datta Trust and support from Shree Bhau Maharaj Parande Matt, whose members and villagers planted trees along ten acres of road. Their cooperation ensured successful completion, bringing safer and smoother travel for PMPML and school buses.
Sukalvedhe - Aambehatti
Sukalwedhe AmbeHatti Bij Ghat is located in a remote area of Junnar Taluka, with no roads or means of communication. For essential goods, education, hospital visits, and government work, villagers had to walk 13–14 kilometers before accessing transport. Around 2007–2008, MLA Late Kailas Vallabh Sheth Dattatreya Benke and the Public Works Department entrusted Shree Associates, Pune with the challenging task of constructing and strengthening the road.
A rented site at the ghat base was used to store gravel and asphalt, which was transported uphill with great effort. Using JCBs, sharp turns were widened, enabling us to transport four brass carts where earlier only one could pass. This success astonished villagers, who then proposed starting an ST bus service to AmbehHatti.
With Hon. Benke’s approval of ₹25 lakh for repairs, the road was completed, and on 12/12/2012, ST service was inaugurated, fulfilling his promise.
